If the Reply To field is set to suse-linux@suse.com messenger will reply to the list. It works that way on other lists. I am not an expert on setting up mailing list, but I am sure LINUX CAN DO THAT TOO!
Sigh. Changing the reply-to field is a bad idea, that's why this list doesn't do it anymore. There are simply better ways to take care of this, one of them being a mailer that has a list-reply function, or proper use of mail-followup-to.

Well quite. Netscape doesn't seem to do this, but in other respects is the only usable mail client I've come across for Linux - which isn't saying much, and is quite a shock. Vast numbers of mail clients, pretty much all of them either an apalling user experience (eg: PINE), completely incomprehensible (eg: Applix, StarOffice) or just plain incapable (eg: KMail). Netscape is hardly ideal (not being able to handle more than one POP3 source is a disaster), but it's the best of a bad bunch. I'm on a large number of high-volume mailing lists and I'm used to Messenger Pro on RISC OS which does this sort of thing perfectly and is one of the two reasons why I still use my Acorn when I'm in its presence (the other being Zap).

I agree with most of that. I personally dig PINE, but I'm into that kinky stuff. It's only really usable though if you use fetchmail, do the local spool thing and all that. What I really want is Eudora Pro for Linux. I would pay twice the Windows price. -- lunaslide * PGP key->pgpkeys.mit.edu port 11371 * * * * * * Yep.
