still have a hassle-free install by a "newbie" then consider the Sondblaster Audigy. I have that installed on my computer and it installs just as easily as the 128 -- plus the sound is MUCH MUCH better. Did I miss something somewhere? As far as I know, The Audigy is not well supported. The SuSE support hardware database shows unknown http://hardwaredb.suse.de/showProduct.php?LANG=en_UK&searchtype=simple&product_id=24761&arch_id=&dist_id=&PHPSESSID=4eb91d7bff1a123a1dab0c2101d6566a
Searching Creative gets nothing for this card and I remember at one time I found an open source audigy project that said support for audigy was only partial but now I can't even find that project. Can anyone confirm that the Audigy really is _fully_ supported (not play only) as you say? I gave up on the audigy. I found just last night from this list and the SuSE hardware database that the SB Live was fully supported. Since I had one of those available, I installed it and found that it worked perfectly. As for the original subject, I have one of those cards in another computer with SuSE 9.0 and it is working with no trouble. Damon Register
