Hi all,

For the archives: Today I confirmed that using the IBM SAS HBA controller option (25R8060) to connect the tape drive to the server solves this issue.

Apparently sles10 on xSeries 3650 cannot talk to my tape drive over the built-in 4x mini sas connector. (even though opensuse 10.3 and the latest ubuntu DO!)

I find it strange, but this is how it is.
