You can get it in different editions for different prices. First I downloaded a package from Borland, a free version, So I bought the Foundation edition which is the cheapest one think it cost around 50$, comes with a manual and 3 CD's,
There are three versions... Foundation - free to download, or $50 to purchase with extra goodies, like CD's, manual and box. The 'purchased' version also entitles you to 'upgrade' pricing on the other versions. It actually works out cheap to purchase the Foundation version and upgrade, if you want the other versions. Professional - same as Foundation, but with extra 'beans'/components to all database/web stuff, + better tools (debugger etc.) - costs about $299 (less for upgrade). Enterprise - same as Professional version, but includes full Corba support and comes with application servers and all the 'other' things needed for enterprise development. - costs about $1699 (less for upgrade). There is nothing stopping you doing all the stuff you can in Pro/Enterprise in Foundation, but you will have to 'roll your own' code, which will take a long time! Cheers Phil
