[opensuse] change of monitor setting in 12.3

In the time of sax, I would have no problem changing the settings of a monotor. Alas, sax is not more. As my normal 17 " monitor is under repair, I got a 15 " monitor to keep my machine running. Thismonitor, a Compaq S5500 should run native 1024x768at 60Hz. Vert.RR 54Hz. I plugged the monitor in and ended up with 640x480 and as the monitor reports H:31.4K and V:60Hz which is to course for normal use.
