My notebook/laptop is from www.powernotebooks.com and is manufactured by Quantas. It has a 6in1 built-in card reader. I found that if I have a card in the slot when I boot the machine it recognizes it and produces a desktop icon. I just now inserted a SD card and it is not hotplug-recognized with a new icon. It is recognized using "lsusb". "lsusb" is a Bash command that tells you what USB hardware is installed and what resources it offers and uses. (You will need to execute it as Root.) dmc Felipe Leon wrote:
I got a new laptop and installed 9 on it. Everything went very smoothly and most of the hardware is recognized and operates fine. The only thing I haven't been able to activate is this card reader. Is there any linux driver for this type of readers? has anybody experience with these in laptops? My laptop is from a "not known brand" so I don't know how successful I will be with this. Thanks for any help,
Felipe.
