Unlock the widgets Right click the launcher icon and select... Switch to Classic Menu style Again right click the launcher Icon and select Application launcher settings In the resultant pop-up make sure Recently uses applications is checked, maybe recent documents as well, and hit the wrench to adjust how many are shown. Launch a few apps a few times to make sure the recent is showing up. Then switch back to launcher style you had before. And the recent tab is showing on the bottom right of the new style launcher. And it keeps being updated as you use the new style launcher. Relock your widgets.
