2.) Registration box pops up with customer # filled in. (enable button is grayed out)
3.) I type in my personal key and click on register (enable key not being a choice). The registration form pops up, all filled in with my personal information and a choice of "continue" or "online registration".
When I went through the procedure a little more than a week ago, I could simply install SO5, run it, go through the registration process (online being necessary in the end) and it told me my registration key and customer number. Since then it was registered. I then tried installing it on another machine where I simply entered the registration key and customer number, and presto! it was registered. I, too, was confused at first about the personal key/registration key thing, but apparently, the personal key is pretty much only for getting through the installation. The registration key is noticably different in lenght and somewhat in content too. I don't know why it won't work for you, though... I didn't even touch internet settings, I just connected via my suseppp generated script on my own and let it do its thing. I don't know if this helps any, other than that it *is* possible... ;) -- Martin Moeller. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
