It does work with a new user, however I have no idea what setting would affect that. I can't seem to find anything relevant. Did you search shortcuts in system settings? Yep and nothing turns up. I also went into the Shortcuts section, but could find nothing relevant.
Forgot to mention, this affects 2 systems.
James, I don't know where suse puts all the configs, but on the upstream KDE (FW5/plasma) all config files are dumped in ~/.config. Which presents a big problem if you need to wipe-out the config and start over. At least with the individual config files scattered in the base of ~/.config, you can't just blow-away (e.g. ~/.kde4) and start over when a kioslave shortcut changes. Strange that '#name' no longer works -- that was even in one of the KDE startup tips for ages for the kio_man application. Check the "File-Associations" for the .html extension and make sure you haven't reassigned it to open in something else other than konqueror (like I sometimes reassign it to open in kwrite). I don't know if that will fix it on Fw5/plasma, but that is what used to control it. -- David C.
