That file doesn't exist. I tried creating it but and changing it's permissions. My /etc/smb.conf is simply:
[global]
workgroup = MSHOME security = share
[PUBLIC]
path = /home/lynn/Public guest ok = yes read only = no
Any ideas anyone? 11.4 fresh install.

I found a way from an off list message. You have to disable apparmor completely to make Samba work. I used Yast to disable it.
What is apparmor anyway?
A security framework.
Please open a bugreport!!!
Ciao, Marcus
I'm on a home network. Behind a router. We just use Samba to share folders. Is apparmor necessary? Thanks. L x -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
