Hi everyone and especially to Juergen and Jerry.
Thanks for your patience once again. Where in the documentation does it say that Fortran file have to have a .f at the end? Please don't answer. It is embarrassing enough to have asked! Advice: Fortran files have to have the extention '.f'. Otherwise g77 throws a fit.
so my PM answer wasn't perfectly correct. Seems I've been born knowing, or somebody told me. (more likely the latter. I just *use* *.f as the c-community uses *.c and I don't think a second about that...) I didn't expect this to be the source for all trouble... Juergen
