I upgraded my SuSe 7.2 installation to XFree 4.1.0 using the rpms and directions on the SuSe site. After doing this, upon a reboot, when KDM fires up, the box has a background of black. This makes it impossible to read anything as the foreground fonts are in black too. Previously the background was gray. Also, when I finally exit KDE, it goes back to KDM and then the background is gray!! Everything is back to normal. Is that weird or what? And before I upgraded XFree, kdm ran fine both before and after going into KDE. Any ideas? By the way, this was an extremely clean install of 7.2 before I upgraded XFree also. I had just finished installing from CDs and had just downloaded the XFree rpms.
