Let's all pretend I have a firewall on my home system. Now, I want to access my computer from my office. My home system is linux and I'm accessing it from linux (not using linux firewall program). My home system is connected to the net via cable modem with a hub/firewall box. Inside I'm running private IP addresses. Firewall IP: 123.123.123.1 (of course that's not really the IP) My machine: 192.168.0.1 How do I setup the system to connect to my machine? I imagine that I have to use a port on the firewall that will forward information to my linux box. Correct?? E.g. 123.123.123.1:900 > 192.168.0.1 I'm only taking a wild guess here, so please tell me where I"m going wrong. Thanks, Tom
