During the last month I had to reinstall _all_ of them. All with broken / inconsitent / strange behaving root Btrfs file systems.
I had some problems with btrfs too. Not a broken file system though. The system became unusable for about an hour. Had I waited long enough I might have seen responses on this list saying to remove quotas and check for bugs, but I re-installed the system with ext4. Luckily that only affects me and it only took an hour or two. I only have an 80 gig disk on this system, and I only had 20 gig for root. Snapshots were useful for retrieving the occasional file, but I never succeeded in booting from a snapshot. Always they were unbootable. I think it is difficult to judge what are the best installation defaults. Maybe it should suggest different settings for different types of user, and different available spaces. Part of the point of opensuse is to test things out for SUSE isn't it? Since re-installing with ext4 I find the system performs better on zypper updates and switching between users. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
