Hi everyone, I'm really sorry you told me some of this before, but I accidently purged my inbox. Which com port should I use for the new internal modem I'm installing tommorow? I was going to set the jumper on the card so that it is permenantly on that port, which I think'll make things simpler. I have a sound card installed, but since it sounds like its pretty hard to setup under linux, and since my mom in law doesn't really like sound on the machine I was just going to let linux be silent. Is COM2 perhaps a good plan? I have a printer too, by the way. Or should I use COM1 which means the COM1 port on the back of the machine can't be used, but we have a PS2 mouse anyway. Any help would be appreciated, I find all this kind of stuff really confusing. I'm installing the modem tommorow, hopefully all will go well :-) Cheers, Dom === _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
