Have a look at this if you;re interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZFS
it's a pity Linux has its own license in the way again... Well, it doesn't seem trivial to include it in my system. Apparently it is in the "filesystems" repo.
What if it breaks? How about bugzillas?
There are a couple of dedicated lists but mainly: http://open-zfs.org/wiki/Main_Page ZFS for OSX is a fork from the Linux driver so they're almost identical and issues can be sent to the linux list Freebsd has a dedicated list as well. zfs for freebsd is ahead of the others. They also advertise the openzfs site for development. I haven't had a single issue since ZFS went out of beta in FreeBSD 7. I don't run high traffic servers though. A few OSX production workstations, a few BSD servers for my company and on an OpenSUSE laptop. All my personal files have been on ZFS for almost 10 years now. Life becomes boring when there's nothing to worry about ;) gr arno -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
