It is evident that you know a lot more about security than most people. However, please don't ridicule people for knowing less than you do. Remember that the impression laypeople have of "Linux is more secure than anything else" is due to *our own fault*. We have trumpeted our security like if it were infallible, instead of telling people the truth. It is not their fault that they don't know things thoroughly.
