Of course you get it twice. I bet you are not subscribed to LKML where this happens _any time_. As soon as you replied, your address will rest in the Cc forever until someone takes it out manually (or hopefully the thread dies some time). And of course, linux-kernel@ is also in the Cc or To field, ergo, you get it twice. Yes, there are some occasions when you only get one mail: when an MTA is able to figure out that you are listed twice, e.g.: From: jengelh@linux01 To: jengelh@linux01 Cc: jengelh@linux01 Subject: blubb I will only get this mail once. But the MTA of Mr. Anonymous User does not know that the linux-kernel@ (or opensuse, or whatever) address contains myself too.
