What i would like to ask is: what is THE best, most up-to-date, most accurate HOWTO/doc for replacing the 10.1 update tools with "something else." My main criteria is that i should be able to use Suse repositories for updates (including 3rd-party repos like packman).
Complete? Up to date?, Accurate?
Nah! Nope, no way.
i was afraid of that ;).
But, imho, if you go to yast and get all the yast /zmd / zypp/ rug/ updates direct from the opensuse site, the rest will take care of itself. Its mostly fixed right now, as long as you manually select only those updates for the first go.
Great - i'll try that. Thanks :) -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W. Watts
