HP LaserJet 1000

Hi, I'm the owner of HP LaserJet 1000, and it's un-usable in SuSE. I already check the SuSE list, and somehow LaserJet 1000 is one of the model that were not supported. (why???) Is there any work around that can be use? Help me!!
