hi, I also had the same problem. I also have mailed about the problem before but didn't find a proper solution. Seems quite a few people have this problem with the printer configuration in 9.1 Pro. But luckily it worked when I upgraded to KDE 3.4. I don't know if this had made a difference, but after updating to KDE 3.4, I configured a network printer to work with my machine. Now I am able to take printouts on the network printer from my machine without any problem(so far). One of my friends is still with the default KDE version that came with SuSE. Her printer configuration still hangs at 50%. Can anyone see what's happening? Regards, Chaitanya. --- Chris Carlen <crcarle@sandia.gov> wrote:
Hi:
Suse 9.1:
Yast2:Hardware|Printer just hangs after 50% of "Loading current settings"
Any idea how I can fix this? Not very nice when system config tools hang.
Thanks.
Good day!
