novice friendly: second boot drive with shellscript, my oldest user is 82 years old and is able to boot to second minimal (no graphical enviorement) opensuse and make the automatic dd backup :-)) simoN

My 2 cents says when push comes to shove you would want bare bones commands and no YSOA (Yet Some Other App) to do the honors.
