Greetings!
I created an iso file using mkisofs and burned the file to DVD. When I mounted the iso or ls the DVD, the filenames appears normal. When I view the DVD under Windows, the filenames are in 8.3 format. How do I get the long filenames under Windows?
Thanks!
Did you enable the "Joliet" extensions? I believe that's the one that adds the extra Windows-oriented directory information. That option is off by default (at least on my system) and appears in the "Filesystem" tab of the project's properties dialog.

It's either that, or the Rock Ridge.
Joliet is for Windows: <http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B125630> Rock Ridge is for Unix (symlinks, e.g.): <http://k12linux.mesd.k12.or.us/sag/x809.html> R
