No, he is talking of "nfs rpm sharing", a method I invented, sort of. In this setup two machines downloading the same rpm is a no-no.
Basically, the directory "/var/cache/zypp/packages" is shared directly by several machines via NFS. Zypper assumes the directory is his and only his, so we are tricking him. It.
