Hello: The "Ejecting a USB stick in kde4" topic made me asked this similar question but related to KDE3. In my opinion there should be a difference between unmount and safely remove options in case of USB sticks. I don't know about KDE4, but in KDE3 unfortunately there isn't unmount option for USB desktop icons, only safely remove option. In case of unmount it should leave the icon on the desktop and enable mounting the device again. This option is missing in KDE3. This means that if I want to mount the USB stick again, I have to unplug and replug the device or else the icon won't be shown. Does anybody know how I could add such an option (unmount) to the USB desktop icon? I am using openSUSE 11.2 with KDE 3.5.10.
