SUSE is using 2GB for a standard KDE installation.
I found an old press release ( http://press.nokia.com/PR/200505/996537_5.html ): The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet is based on Linux and widely deployed Open Source technologies like GNOME. At the core of the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet is Hildon Application Framework, which is based on GNOME technology. Unfortunately, the recent description on the Nokia is not that enlightening as far as the software is concerned. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE Linux Products GmbH Key fingerprint = B2A3 AF2F CFC8 40B1 67EA 475A 5903 A21B 06EB 882E
