I am trying to set up a small network these days, and I have installed a D-Link DFE-530TX in the machine acting as server. The kernel I use on this machine is not one of the standard SuSE 6.2 kernels, since I need some stuff that is not in these kernels. With YaST I have gone through the manouevres to activate the card as eth0, and that should be in place. However, when I boot, I get the message "module eth0 is not found".
My question is now: Is there any way I can extract this module from somewhere, and put it in the correct place manually? That would be very helpful.
Did you remember to do a 'make modules_install' after doing the 'make modules'? I'll have a further look into it if this doesn't solve it...
