Is there any way to pick up and resume a download that was not completed, and have it start up where it left off, rather than re-write the file and start over?
I'm 79 0one downloading StarOffice 5.0, and I lost my connection. I'd hate to have to start this one over!
I realize this is not exactly the answer you're looking for, but wget will do that. It will resume where it left off if it gets interrupted. It will run from a command line, in the background, or from a cron job. Netscape is handy for finding things, but not always the best way to download things. I usually poke around with netscape til I find the proper URL of the file I want, then go back with wget to retrieve it. Especially if it's a large download. -- Bud Rogers <budr@sirinet.net> <A HREF="http://www.sirinet.net/~budr/zamm.html"><A HREF="http://www.sirinet.net/~budr/zamm.html</A">http://www.sirinet.net/~budr/zamm.html</A</A>> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
