I am still using KMail at this time (KDE 2.2.1/2 and SuSE 7.3 Pro) and was wondering if there is a way I can create digests from threads that I have saved from the list correspondence on particular issues, so that I can create my own archive. The idea would be that the archive could be read in basically any e-mail client (or maybe also any word processor) for more or less any platform. The idea being that it could be used according to topic for reference purposes
Create a new folder and move all of your messages into it. You'll find a standard (ISO-8859) file of the same name as your folder there. This can be viewed in just about any email client (mutt, pine, netscape). Even the viewer in mc understands the format. As for Outlook, there will probably be an import process as Microsoft decided to ignore the standard. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9DdLQ+FOexA3koIgRAgVJAKCt5Q1xxZ0FqcrnthLn7McFN5R7qgCggQ+W pnz4RNP+Sn5B+TE+NyUTNuo= =t3es -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
