I really really really am happy with the ftp-mode IF ONLY the lines were accompanied by a small image/thumbnail.
Ok, I don't do web stuff anymore, so I don't know the answer to your question on how to do it exactly as you wish.
At the risk of aggravating you more ;-) ...
Why are you doing this with a web server, if its only for in-house usage? Or is this planned for remote access as well?
I'm sure I mentioned that is for me accessing at home with my tablet over wifi. Yes, in my very first message that started off this thread I said <quote> This means I can pull down anything I've downloaded or created onto my phone or tablet via my home based wifi. </quote>
As another point of info (not trying to exasperate you Anton...)
On my Android phone, and tablet, I run a free app called ES File Explorer which will surf all the files on my phone AND.... will will surf my network (Windows or Samba or of FTP as well as Box, SugarSync, Dropbox, onedrive, Gdrive, s3 Yandex, Bitcasa, and in each of those cases it will (somehow) obtains thumbs without me having to do anything.
That's interesting. I have Total Commander which claims the same scope of access. It certain does have the thumbnails in the format I'm asking about for local files. However when I access ~anton/Photographs via the //LAN (i.e. Samba) the thumbnails are not shown. The same applies if I go in via the FTP interface. An yes, I do have the option to show thumbnails check. I'll take a look at ES File Explorer.
