YES! Definitely yes. I've upgraded machines like that. Just specify sshserver=1 sshpassword=password (AFAIK) when you boot. OR make your own boot.iso where you set these parameters.
Alternatively you can use VNC (if you have the bandwith and firewall openings). vncserver=1 vncpassword=password - really really cool!!!!
You may also try to specify ip=address as well..
Try that with RedHat!!!!
