Well, this is strange. There have been no major problems with PCMCIA in 5.2, although some people have reported problems in 5.3
there) and lsmod shows nothing either. With RH 5.1, it just came up working. So I know they *should* work.
I d'led the latest PCMCIA driver and installed it, but it's still not working. In fact, cardmgr doesn't give out any messages whatsoever and as far as I can tell, doesn't do anything.
Hmm, AFAIK RH 5.1 uses CS-3.0.0 and we are already at 3.0.4. Do you know how the working package is configured? How did you configure the package when using the newest version? Did you activate cardbus support?
The how-to and the man page (other than the need to install the latest-n-greatest driver) didn't really point me anywhere. Can anybody help?

I'm currently investigating this problem, but I have no machine that shows the problems. Distribution makers love broken machines. Nothing is more annoying than searching for a problem you cannot reproduce... - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
