You want Tuner 0 as your input for that card.
The only software I have used that card with is mythtv so I may not be able to help. But at least it sounds like its loading the card right.
Oh, and /lib/firmware/ is the proper place for the firmware on SuSE.
All this is in YAST (scan the channels). If I use kdetv, the screen is just blue and if I go to the channel wizard, it freezes. I think I should install ivtv from source. I'll try again tommorrow.
