Why is it mentioning KDE?
What happens? Is X with other WM's working?
Yes
Gnome, windowmaker and xfce all woirk fine
Errors don't mention KDE, it works as the default.
What if you try this .xinitrc: ---- #!/bin/bash exec blackbox ---- chmod +x it, and of course save the old .xinitrc. Then just startx should give you Blackbox -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort." -- A.
