Hi all... Looking at tty10 where the error messages are I see this: ide : failed opcode was : unknown hda : drive not ready for command ide0 : reset: success hda : irq timeout: status = 0x80 { Busy } Should I worry about this? Is my brand new 80gb disk going bad? A few minutes after I wrote the above I had the system freeze up on me and I had to do a hard reboot. I noticed that this happened just after I had loaded some pictures from my digital cameria disk using a USB card reader. After I loaded the pictures I tried to burn them to a CD. K3B gave me an error and kicked the cd out. I tried to reboot and everything locked up. I unplugged the USB card reader and did a hard boot. Now it seems to work fine and I don't get any errors. Could the USB system be a problem? A couple of hours later, it seems that I still have this problem at odd times even without the card reader. So far I've not had to reboot, but a couple of times I've got the errors above and the system slowed down, even stopped for a couple of seconds once. What do you guys think?
