Where have all the plugins gone?

Ok, now that I have X running, the 7.0 saga continues: I have downloaded the updated Netscape from SuSE's ftp site (4.76) and also downloaded the Flash 4 plugin an dinstalled it. The problem is that when I bring up the about:plugins screen it is empty. The same problem with the about Font Displayers: the seem to be none which doesn't make sense.
