Hello: I have installed openSUSE 13.1 on a new computer and I decided to give a try to KDE4. The overall experience so far is good but I still have a few question on some customization setting. Some of them KDE4 specific, other are not. -- In KDE4 how can I change the panel background and font color. By googling I found that I have to chose change the theme, but I have find the theme I like and I already have customized its colors etc properties. I only couldn't find how I can customize panel colors. -- In KDE4 how can turn off all notification sounds by one or two clicks. I found notification sound settings in Configure desktop -> Common appearance and behavior -> Application and system notifications -> Application tab -> Event source pulldown. But here I should go through all the pulldow options and within each of them untick the play a sound icon several times. There must be some more powerful method without requiring turning the sound off one by one (as there was a turn all sound off button in KDE3). -- In Krusader viewer or editor (F3/F4) how can I disable coloring of text? -- When I insert a DVD in the DVD drive and copy files from it, it spins too fast and make too much noise (resonating). How can I decrease the reading speed? -- How can I disable the updater notification? I disabled it in the system tray still after login a notification window popped in on the screen. -- Is it possible to get back /media folder instead of /var/run/media/<user>? It is too complicated to navigate here (in konsole). Thanks in advance, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
