-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 OK... I'm running KDE4 on openSuSE 11.0. Every time I start xine, it opens up for about a second and immediately closes. Running it from the command line gives the following: :~> xine This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.99.5. (c) 2000-2007 The xine Team. X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) ~ Major opcode of failed request: 140 (XVideo) ~ Minor opcode of failed request: 19 () ~ Serial number of failed request: 2491 ~ Current serial number in output stream: 2492 After investigating online, I found something that indicated it might have something to do with desktop effects being enabled. Well, I DO have KDE4's desktop effects enabled. So, I disabled them and tried xine again. Well, this time it worked! Disabling KDE's desktop effects allows xine to work properly. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you gotten it to work with desktop effects enabled? Thanks, Rick - -- Rick's Law: What cannot be imagined will be accomplished by a fool. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkhrCB4ACgkQPIcjS54RJeBMMgCfWMBDPN6af/q1shrpWJxOueF3 jAEAnRz6IKkjx7sNwXb3bGRVhhZ1euMF =q6+Q -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
