Listmates, Since I have been using gnome a bit on 11.0, I have poked around but I haven't been able to find a way to allow myself, as a sudo user, to execute apps in gnome that require root authorization without having to enter the root password each time. In both kde3 and kde4, if you are you are set up to use sudo, then simply entering the following in an xterm or in the run command dialog in kde thereafter allows you to run all apps requiring root authorization without being prompted for a password: (all on one line) kwriteconfig --file kdesurc --group super-user-command --key super-user-command sudo Is there an equivalent work-around for gnome 2.2 in 11.0?? -- David C.
