And as I said.. this is "normal" _now_ not with previous releases. I never saw it before either, but you've updated to 4.3.1.. right? Things have changed from 4.2 to 4.3. One of the changes includes the check on executables with the Continue button. This was discussed briefly on the list a while back as well. It shows up on the first time the app is clicked from a Desktop icon.
I don't think I can agree there with you, have not read about this sort of behav w/ KDE 4.3.1 before anyhwhere (including openSUSE & Ubuntu Forums). Prior to this upgarde, KDE 4.3.0 worked ok without such any errors.
Agree or not... that's how it is. In this particular case (case 3 in your original email), it's not an error. When you click on an application on the KDE4 desktop for the first time (including the first time after the upgrade that included the new desktop security code), you get a popup that asks if you want to continue. If you click Continue it should not ask you again for that app and that user. You are welcome to disagree with me... but... you are seeing it... and I'm telling you you're not the only one who sees it. It is something that has been explicitly added to KDE4. This was discussed on the kde-core-devel mailing list. For example: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=123562332503129&w=2 This behavior was also mentioned at least once in the openSUSE Forum: http://forums.opensuse.org/applications/417506-warning-plasma-workspace.html Why do I let myself be pulled into these arguments?
