Try replacing each / in the smbmount command with two \ for example:
pc4:/nbsserver # smbmount \\\\nbsserver\\users\\ \\nbsserver\\users -I
This should work

Dear all,
When i do a smbmount i get the following failure. With kernel 2.0.36 it works perfectly. With kernel 2.2.2 it fails to mount. Via smbclient it works perfectly also under kernel 2.2.2. Has something changed in the smbmount commands? I cant find anything about it in the man file.
Thank you very much.
