When using kmid to playback a karaoke .mid file I get no sound being sent to my sound card. It's a USB sound card so I plainly see when data is sent to it. This is on a fresh install of 10.3.

Do you use any other midi devices, and do they work? Do you use timidity? (the only way I have yet learned to play midi sound on linux)

Yes, I have timidity installed. I wanted to use kmid mainly for the karaoke part that it supports. I have looked at and tried others but they either have the same problem or don't support the use of karaoke .mid files.

Have you looked to use timididty as a demon? timidity -iA it will run as client for Alsa. Rosegarden works that way. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
