Howdy...
Desktop is LXDE (GTK version that ships in 13.2, not QT version).
Using the mouse or keyboard to select an area of text does not "stick". A fraction of a second after selecting the area, the highlight disappears and the selected area is no longer marked.
Example: after mouse-selecting an area of text to delete from a writable document, before I can press the 'delete' key the selection area is unmarked and if I press 'delete' key at this point the only thing deleted is the spot where the cursor is, at the end of the area I intended to delete.
Apparently the selected area HAS been copied to the clipboard (it's visible in parcellite) and then deselected in the actual document. This is different from the expected action and different from previous versions. It's also extremely annoying.
Question: Is this a bug, or an intended new 'feature', or simply a misconfiguration somewhere in my setup?
Thanks in advance for any clues.
Ralph
I can confirm this issue. I installed openSUSE 13.2 with LXDE
Not sure if this is what you are describing, but if say you select text in Leafpad it can then be copied to e.g. lo. Screenshot: https://db.tt/Xh4uymUT In 13.2, add the lxde repo and zypper dup.
