I've just installed openSUSE 12.1 on a system that previously ran 11.0. In the process, I'm also switching from UoW imap to Dovecot. I copied /var/spool/mail and the user directories, but when I connect to Dovecot, I don't see any old mail. Is there anyway to get to the old mail, short of copying it to local folders in my email app?
tnx jk
Never mind. Found it. Would you like to tell us what is the solution for your problem? Probably help us if found similar problem.
I had to set mail_location in dovecot.conf. I am now able to see my inbox messages, but the folders didn't appear. In dovecot, folders create matching subdirectories in the user's mail directory, but IIRC, UoW doesn't. So, at the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to get the UoW subfolders into Dovecot. I still have the original hard drive, with my 11.0 installation, handy. So, it is possible to swap drives and access the old mail system & sub-folders. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
