You can have more than one swap partition. If you have some free space where you can make a new partition you can use that. This is your best option. You could also use a swap file, but that is very inefficient, Linux's swapping algorithm is not one of it's strong points anyway so it would be better not to slow it down further ! You might be able to do some partition juggling, but that can be a bit fraught if you are not (yet) familiar with partition mangling ! A re-install is a bit dramatic, but .. is alwaus possible of course! good luck Cliff
