This happens to me when I try FreeBSD. The only thing that I have been able to figure out is that my modelines are not correct. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to edit modelines. Anyway, your monitor is probably going into powersave mode in order to protect itself. Sorry I cannot be more help. Victor On Sat, Sep 16, 2000 at 04:05:59PM +0200, Jeroen Verstegen wrote:
Hi All!
I have a Diamond Monster Fusion graphics card on my pentium3-500Mhz system. It is working under X but sometimes (can't reproduce it, it doesn't always happen) when I exit X to go back to the command line, the monitor (samsung Syncmaster 17GLSi) puts itself on standby. It also happens sometimes when starting X (enlightenment/gnome)
Any ideas?
Is there a good driver available (couldn't find any on the web) Or has anyone of you maneged to solve this weird problem?
