ok. because i have done a: grub2-install /dev/nvme0n1 its on the very first part of the disk. (not the partition)
is /dev/nvme0n1 for my detailed explained howto then correct?
according to the grub2 manpage it must always be the whole disk behind the command so i have no chance to write it somewhere else? or how would be the command to write it into the first sector of second partition?
why is then at my old mbr system inside the file /etc/default/grub_installdevice /dev/sda1 activate generic_mbr
and not /dev/sda ?
Because your system was configured to install grub2 on /dev/sda1.
This file is (open)SUSE specific and I do not think it is documented anywhere except source code.
that's bad.
would be glad of you if you try again to explain me this.
