I just recently downloaded the q3demo and have install the mesa-3.0-69 and glxriva-990819-14 packages. I have configured the XF86Config file to load the glx.so and it tests out fine with other OpenGL(glut, xlock) applications. However, I cannot seems to get q3demo to work. It will come up with a jumbled graphic, which should be the id software logo if it is like windows, in the upper 1/3 of the screen. It then procedes to enter another screen, which I imagine is the setup screen, but this is jumbled as well. This graphic is displayed in the middle 2/3 or the screen. When this happens my only choice is to kill the xserver, which restarts xdm. I am not sure what is going on here but any help would be appreciated. I have a Canopus Spectra 2500(riva TNT) chipset card with 16M or RAM. I have attached the screen section of the XF86Config file if that helps. Thanks in advance. /etc/XF86Config Section "Screen" Driver "SVGA" Device "Primary-Card" Monitor "Primary-Monitor" DefaultColorDepth 16 SubSection "Display" Depth 32 Modes "640x480" EndSubSection SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "640x480" EndSubSection SubSection "Display" Depth 16 Modes "1152x864" Virtual 1152 864 EndSubSection SubSection "Display" Depth 16 Modes "800x600" EndSubSection EndSection Christopher T.
