Having looked at some prices I'm not too far off. I can get a D50 with an 18 - 55mm lens together with a second lens of 55 - 300mm all for just over £500UK Which is not a bad price and it includes VAT (sales,GST or purchase tax). Now I just need to get rid of my two other Nikons and the old Olympus OM10. Trouble is, them being 35mm film I'm not going to get an awful lot for them :-((( shame because they are superb cameras.
You do know that your Nikon film camera lens fits the Nikon digital cameras... right? My Nikon Coolpix L4 works great (so far) in 10.0. Connect the camera and everything works. I'll let someone else figure out if 10.1 works. ;) Yea, the L4 isn't close to the D50 or D70s, but I'm not up to that too much $ for me right now. I'll keep my film camera for now. Anything I want digital high end, I use my Nikon LS-2000 and scan the negs for a 35+/- meg shot. (don't know how the scanner works with 10.0 yet. Haven't tried yet. It's SCSI) What film cameras do you have? -- Thanks, George Constantly choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil. Jerry Garcia
