Boot into run level 3 and run Sax2. At the lilo boot window just type 3 behind the word linux and it will boot into runlevel 3. That way there is little danger of damage to the monitor. On Tuesday 28 May 2002 07:54 am, Robert Thyberg wrote:
Hej,
Am running 8.0, using a MAG DJ707 17" monitor. Got a nice gift of a 17" LCD flat monitor with which I wish to replace the MAG. Question: Is it safe to shutdown, change monitor, and reboot and hope that 8.0 detects the new monitor or is there some other proceedure I should use to prevent damage to the LCD?? Using Win 98SE, on another computer, it detected the new LCD monitor with no problem.
